Bored Piles

Cypress Palms is a luxury apartment complex consisting of two high-rise towers of 93 levels and 3 basement levels. The project is located at 3 Cypress Avenue, Surfers Paradise, on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The contract for designing and constructing the deep pile foundations for the twin-towers was awarded to Avopiling QLD by Karimbla Construction Services (QLD) Pty Ltd, which is part of the Meriton Group.

Scope of Works

Avopiling QLD is currently conducting the installation of bored cast-in-place piles with diameters ranging from 900 mm to 2100 mm, reaching depths of up to 59 m, utilising temporary casing and Bentonite drilling support fluid. The total installation comprises 29 piles of Ø900mm , 39 piles of Ø1200 mm, 62 piles of Ø1800 mm, and 28 piles of Ø2100 mm. Among all the piles, 21 included steel columns, each 13.5 m long, for top-down construction purposes.
