About Us

For nearly four decades, Avopiling has delivered complex piling and foundation systems across Australia.

Our Story

Avopiling was founded in Sydney in 1989
by Avo Tevanian and has grown from a family-run contractor into one of Australia’s leading specialist foundation contractors.

What began in NSW quickly expanded nationwide as our ability to solve difficult ground conditions, innovate onsite and deliver reliably earned us a reputation for technical excellence.

Today, our teams across NSW, QLD, WA and VIC bring deep local knowledge, disciplined safety standards and consistent delivery to some of Australia’s largest and most demanding projects.

Our growth isn’t about getting bigger, it’s about getting better.

From our earliest works through to today’s multi-system, multi-stage projects, we’ve continually expanded our fleet, refined our methodologies and built a culture that prioritises doing things the right way, every time.

Clients trust Avopiling because we turn up prepared, think ahead, and deliver work that stands the test of time.

Our values

Engineered integrity

We plan, design, and deliver with accuracy and discipline, because in our world, precision matters. Every decision is considered, every detail checked, and every outcome held to the highest standard. We don’t cut corners or take shortcuts, we do the work properly, even when no one is watching. Integrity is engineered into everything we do, from concept to completion.

People first

Great projects are built by great people, so we put our team first. We foster strong culture, clear leadership, and safe working environments where people are respected, supported, and empowered to do their best work. When our people thrive, the quality of our work follows, and that’s something we’ll never compromise on.

Technical thinking

We’re driven by curiosity and problem-solving. Complex ground conditions and challenging sites are where we do our best work, applying rigorous engineering thinking alongside practical, hands-on experience. We don’t rely on assumptions, we analyse, test, and adapt, finding smart, effective solutions where others see obstacles.

Tailored solutions

No two projects are ever the same, and we treat them that way. Every system, rig, and methodology is customised to suit the specific ground conditions, constraints, and objectives of each site. By tailoring our approach, we deliver solutions that are not only efficient, but fit for purpose and built to perform long-term.

Reliability in action

We do what we say we’ll do, when we say we’ll do it. Deadlines matter, quality matters more, and compliance is non-negotiable. Our focus is on delivering work that performs, lasts, and stands up to scrutiny, because reliability isn’t a promise, it’s proven through consistent action.
