Cutter Soil Mixing
Cutter Soil Mixing is an advanced ground improvement technique that transforms in-situ soils into structural elements. By mixing binding agents with existing ground, CSM creates hardened panels capable of retaining soil, controlling groundwater, or supporting loads.
Application
Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM) technology mixes binding agents, typically cement, with in-situ soils using water and air to create a hardened soil mass. Once cured, the treated ground can retain soil and water or support structural loads. The system is well suited to granular soils and can also be applied in clays and lower-quality rock, making it ideal for cut-off walls, deep excavations, and movement-sensitive structures.
Advantages
- Cost-effective ground improvement
- Fast and precise construction
- Uses in-situ soil as a construction material
- Minimal spoil generation
- No vibration during installation
