Caboolture Bribie Island to Steve Irwin Way
Project Outline
The project involves upgrading almost six kilometres of the Bruce Highway north of Brisbane from four to six lanes. The section between Caboolture-Bribie Island Road and Pumicestone Road includes the demolition and reconstruction of four major bridge.
Scope of Works
Acciona Infrastructure Australia Pty Ltd awarded this first section of the project to Avopiling (QLD) Pty to construct bored piles with permanent casings 82No 1200mmØ to depths up to 34.00 metres to bridges over Lagoon Creek and Kings John's Creek. A 686No 450mmØ drilled displacement piles to depths up to 11.00 metres are to be installed on bridge abutment approaches.
